Better Information Leads to Greater Accuracy

Our early involvement will significantly impact the “value” our services will bring to the development of a realistic budget and maintaining the project schedule. Constructability reviews and value analysis are additional means to assist you beyond “bricks and sticks.” Early review of your project costs can avoid costly redesign efforts later in the project.

Cost Estimating Methods
In developing a cost estimate for your project, it is vitally important that the “right” questions be asked by the estimator in order to determine the direction of the design. Merely pricing what’s shown on the drawings in the early stages of design is a guarantee of unpleasant surprises ahead in the design of the project as the details get added to the design. We will ask not only the “right” questions but ALL the questions necessary to give you an easy to understand picture of your project’s financial. While not driving where the design is to go, precise and accurate estimating will allow the design consultants to understand the project budget and how their design impacts that budget. The goal of preconstruction cost estimating is to provide the project team with a roadmap of where the design is heading as well as the information tools they need to make any adjustments to the design to preserve the budget. No cost estimate will be completely accurate, however, with extensive experience and reliable data and resources, our estimating capability can be relied upon to help you meet your budget. |
